If I wanted to book a Cruise, what would be the best airport and port to leave out of FL.; coming from Texas?

I am on the Coast in Corpus Christi, TX. Leaving out of Galveston for your cruise is a waist cuz it takes 2 days to "get" anywhere then waisted coming back. So I prefer leaving out of Florida by just flying into the nearest airport of best port there.
