Planning on a trip to las vegas from texas. I don't have enough to fly and I am thinking about going on the?

Greyhound bus, I have ever been on it before. I would be leaving from Corpus Christi, Tx which makes it about a day and a half trip there. Is it safe? Is it really bad? What is it like? Or should I take the Train from San Antonio, Tx to L.A and from there go by bus to Las Vegas, because the train does not go to Vegas I would have to go to L.A which also makes it about a day and half trip. Please anyone how has been on the Greyhound or the train give me so tips. I always fly but I can't this time. My brother is getting married out there and I want to make it.
