My flocks are turning brown what should i do?

so i have had flocks for a while now and they have been doing great, they are green and pretty and i have not had to water them at all and they thrive. this year though all of the sudden they have started to die off. they are turning an ugly brown looks like they are rotting from the inside out. does anyone have any ideas how to fix this???
